ELLEN Needs a Foster or Adopter by September 12 to Get Out of the Alabama Kill Shelter Sweet Ellen is currently in a kill shelter in Alabama and needs a FOSTER or ADOPTER to secure her spot on the transport to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on Saturday, September 12, 2026. A committed foster or adoptive home is needed for Ellen to make the trip to Wisconsin and get the fresh start she deserves. Meet Ellen Ellen is a sweet 2.5-year-old Lab/Hound mix who weighs 68 pounds. She is an incredibly happy, friendly, and affectionate girl who loves everyone she meets. Ellen has a gentle, docile personality and is medium energy, but definitely on the calmer side. She enjoys being around people, loves treats, and is good on a leash. Ellen is dog friendly and child friendly, making her a great fit for many different home environments. Ellen would make a wonderful family dog. She is the kind of girl who is happy to be by your side and would love a family who will give her the love and attention she deserves. Cats are currently unknown, but she can be cat tested if needed. Ellen is listed as 2.5 years old, although with her chill and easy going personality, it is possible she is a little older. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.
