Thank you so much. [Case opened on 9/9/26]. URGENT!!! Morrow, Ohio (willing to drive up to 40 miles). 7 Y/O MALE GSD (DOB: 7/27/19). His name is 'Atlas'. Background: Current Shepherd Parent has had Atlas for 4 years after receiving him from a friend, but several family members have taken Atlas in as well. UTD on shots WITH record. Fixed. Good with kids. Good with dogs, but does Resource Guard his toys. Currently lives with two Rottweilers, one male and one female. UNKNOWN with cats. House trained. Crate trained. Any known medical issues?: Atlas has a Poultry Allergy. Abuse/Neglect/Trauma History?: NO abuse disclosed, but Atlas has been bounced around a lot throughout the family. The parents adopted him from a family friend and had him for a couple years and then started struggling with some health issues, so they rehomed Atlas to his son. His son had him for a year or so, but was struggling financially, so Atlas was then rehomed to the daughter, who had him for a couple weeks but her other dog wasn't getting along with Atlas, so Atlas is now back living with the parents. ENERGY LEVEL: Medium. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: Medium. Weighs 88 lbs. Currently on Diamond Naturals Beef & Rice dry food. Good with car rides?: Yes. Socialized with: *people?: Yes. *dogs?: Yes. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): Yes. Loves: Toys, especially BarkBox toys, fetch, car rides, walks, playing with kids and dogs, balls, being near his person, peanut butter, and chew bones. Atlas is obsessed with his toys. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: This breed is super intelligent. *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): Yes. *Good on a Leash?: Yes. *Lovable?: This breed is super lovable once they claim you as their person/family. *Eager and fast learner?: This breed is super fast learners when they are being committed to and worked with. Special Training: Took puppy training courses when he was a puppy + a couple of Service Animal classes but he did not complete them. Bite History?: No bite history disclosed. NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: 'Atlas would be an amazing companion for anyone. He's a sweet boy who ALWAYS has a toy in his mouth. While, I wouldn't categorize Atlas as a cuddle bug, he shows his love in other ways. He loves just being a wingman and will happily accompany you wherever you go. Atlas deserves to be the center of someone's world and I have high hopes that we'll find him his forever family here with K's help.' . The other daughter is stepping in to help Atlas find a Furever home so he does not have to continue being bounced around between family members. Atlas deserves a stable, loving Furever home.
