Cecil is a very smart and loyal Australian shepherd. He is hyper-focused on his humans and loves to follow them and be cuddled. My parents got Cecil 6 years ago. Due to a series of extreme medical setbacks, my parents now need to rehome him. Cecil is very special but not a 'beginners' dog. He has a lot of mental and physical energy and gets anxious in new circumstances. He would do best in a house with a fenced in yard or with owners that go on long walks. He has nipped a few people in his current home, so visitors need to be introduced in a controlled way. However, he gets along fine with animals and people outside the home. He also does well in doggy daycare and until now he has always lived with another Australian shepherd and they are very close. Cecil is very healthy. His shots are up to date. He has a benign mass on his tummy and the vet says no need to remove it because it is not bothering him. Because Cecil does have anxiety, he has a trazodone prescription which can be used to ease his transition to a new home. Cecil is housebroken to an impressive degree and extremely trainable.
