About Luna

Luna is a young female GSD/Husky-type mix with some Malinois and Malamute in her background. She was born April 10, 2024, is spayed, house-trained, crate-trained, and is an incredibly capable, athletic dog. Luna is what I would call a dog's dog. She is strong, confident, adventurous, and much more athletic than her build might make you think. She loves long walks, hiking, running, exploring, sniffing, and being outside. She has a lot of physical ability and would be a great companion for someone who genuinely enjoys an active lifestyle. She is also sweet and affectionate in her own way. She likes cuddling and attention when she wants it, but she is not a clingy dog who needs to be attached to you every second. She has an independent personality and enjoys doing her own thing too. Once she has had her exercise and enrichment, she settles well at home. She loves treats and food enrichment and is very easy to appreciate once you understand her personality. I'm looking for a home that will enjoy Luna for who she is: a strong, smart, athletic, independent dog who also has a very sweet side. Someone experienced with shepherds, huskies, working breeds, or active dogs would be ideal. I am not in a rush. I care much more about finding the right permanent home than finding one quickly. I will be selective and would like to speak with and meet potential adopters before making any decision. If the placement ever does not work out, I would want Luna returned to me rather than surrendered to a shelter or passed along to someone else.
