Orange Boy Needs a Forever Home Meet Galahad, a sweet, chatty orange boy looking for a quieter kingdom to call his own! Galahad was abandoned at a gas station as a young cat, and thankfully, a kind family stepped in to rescue him. They've spent the last several months helping him become healthier, happier and more confident. But there's one big problem: Galahad is terrified of other cats. His current home has multiple cats, so everyone has to be kept separated and despite all the love he's receiving, it means Galahad simply isn't able to fully relax and enjoy life. His people believe he may have been attacked by other cats after he was dumped, which could explain his fear. What Galahad really needs is a peaceful home where he can be the only pet. He may be okay with a calm, respectful dog but a home without other pets would be best. And once he feels safe? This boy is pretty darn adorable. Galahad at a glance: \- 2-year-old orange & white Domestic Shorthair \- Neutered \- FIV+ but healthy and thriving in his current care \- Up to date on FVRCP & rabies \- Microchipped \- Indoor-only \- Excellent litter box habits \- Sweet, vocal and loves to chat \- Will greet you with enthusiastic meows! \- Loves rubbing against your legs as you walk around \- Happy to simply hang out nearby \- LOVES pillows and fresh air from an open window \- No serious separation anxiety \- Not quite a lap cat yet, he's still working on that part! \-He's on a diet right now, gas station garbage to survive kept him chonky): but a few more months of proper feeding an he'll be great Galahad can take some time to fully trust someone, and he may still swat or give an occasional little nip. Nothing serious, but he's definitely a guy who appreciates having his boundaries respected while he gets to know you. His current family has tried repeatedly to find him a suitable placement, including reaching out to organizations, but he cannot thrive in a shelter environment. What Galahad needs is a patient person, a peaceful home, a sunny window, some comfy pillows and NO OTHER PETS so he can finally let his guard down. We're in Sacramento but for the right home we are willing to travel up to 8 hours one way or maybe even a little further! He would be the perfect cat for a household with no children and other pets that wants an easy going buddy who will always be happy to see you!
