5yrs old 35lb! This little girl is one of the few lucky ones today who got out of a shelter. It appears she spent much of her life as a puppy-making machine. Her body tells a story she can't tell us herself. And somewhere along the way, someone made the cruel decision to alter her by cutting off her ears. Then we made eye contact. I looked at her and made her a promise. I told her she will never have to have puppies again. Never again will her worth be measured by what her body can produce. Never again will she be used for someone else's benefit. I told her that somewhere out there is her forever home. There is a couch waiting for her. A soft bed where she can stretch out and finally rest. A family who will look at her and see her-not what they can get from her. I told her she deserves all of it. She deserves to know what it feels like to be someone's baby instead of being used to make babies. Today, she walked out of a shelter as one of the lucky ones. But there are so many who won't. So tonight, while this sweet girl begins the next chapter of her life, I will hold onto the promise I made when I looked into those eyes: No more puppies. No more being used. No more looking back. Your bed. **This dog is currently at the rescue in TX however you can secure this pup for yourself with a pre-adoption which means getting your app in, approved and then paying the adoption fee. The adoption fee is $525 which covers spay/neuter, vaccinations, HW testing, chipping, health certificate and transport fees. All our dogs come with a 30 day, money back, trial period to make sure they are the right fit in your environment but if it doesn't work you will have to foster until the dog gets rehomed.
