I'm Jasper, a handsome boy with gorgeous eyes that started out blue but have now changed to a beautiful gray. I guess you could say my eyes are growing up right along with me! I was born into rescue on July 6th. My mama, Journee, is a Shih Tzu who was found as a stray. Nobody knows who my daddy is, but based on my current size, I may grow to around 25 pounds. Just the right size for adventures and cuddles! I'm a loving, affectionate boy who enjoys giving kisses, collecting attention, and sleeping in the big bed with my favorite person. I like to be independent and investigate things on my own, but wherever you go, you can bet I'll be right behind you. I'm basically your very own furry little shadow. I LOVE exploring outside! There are so many fascinating smells, interesting things to investigate, and places to discover. I also enjoy toys and am learning to play fetch. I haven't quite mastered the whole 'bring it back' part yet, but I'm working on it! I enjoy car rides and exploring new places, too. As long as my person is with me, I'm happy to go wherever the adventure takes us! I'm good with cats, chickens, and other dogs. I'd especially love a young, playful canine sibling who enjoys wrestling and playing as much as I do. After all, a puppy needs someone to help him burn off all that energy! Now, I do have one little problem. I'M TEETHING! Everything looks like a chew toy to me, and I mean EVERYTHING. Shoes, toys, things I probably shouldn't have�'�| I'm still learning the difference! My foster family is helping me figure out what's appropriate to chew, so I'll need my forever family to keep working with me. The good news? I'm potty trained with a regular schedule! I'll still need patience and consistency as I grow, along with all the usual puppy lessons. Because I'm already planning on it! ���� JASPER is up to date on shots and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. His neuter will be scheduled at one of our vets when he is old enough and is covered by the rescue. Because he has pending vet appointments, JASPER is LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY, which means within a one hour drive to Pensacola, Florida. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. We adopt within a 6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally (within 1 hour to Pensacola).
