About JOLIE

LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY - Within a one hour drive to Pensacola, FL Meet JOLIE! This pretty girl was born into rescue on July 6th and can go home on September 9th. Her mom, JOURNEE, is a Shih Tzu who was found as a stray. When no owner was located, she came to us. Imagine our surprise when we took her to her initial vet visit and found out she was pregnant! Obviously, we do not know who the dad is. JOLIE currently weighs about four pounds and is a super sweet and loving little girl who enjoys being near her foster mom. She happily gives out kisses, loves to cuddle and enjoys playing with toys. She also loves chasing, playing tug-of-war and wrestling with her litter mates. After playing hard, she is happy to pile onto the couch with her foster mom for a nap. JOLIE loves being around people and happily greets her foster mom when she comes home or lets her out of the pen in the morning. She is also in the puppy stage of thinking toes and pant legs make excellent toys! She is not yet consistent with potty pads when she is out of her pen and, like all puppies, will need continued potty training in her new home. JOLIE is very interested in playing with the other dogs in her foster home. Because she enjoys canine companionship so much, we believe she would be happiest in a home with a young, playful dog who would enjoy having a little buddy. By the time she can go home, JOLIE will have had two of her three puppy shots and will be microchipped with a lifetime registration. Her third puppy shot will be given approximately 3 weeks after her go-home date and is covered by the rescue. PLEASE NOTE: JOLIE is NO PAWS ON THE GROUND until approximately 12 weeks of age, after she has received her final Parvo vaccination. Until then, her new family will need to be especially careful about where she is taken and avoid taking her outside. We highly recommend investing in a puppy pen to keep her safe inside when she cannot be supervised. Her spay will be scheduled at one of our vets when she is old enough and is also covered by the rescue. Because she has pending vet appointments, JOLIE is local adoption only, which is within a one hour drive to Pensacola. *To meet or adopt, you must first submit an adoption application for review. We adopt within a 6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally (within 1 hour to Pensacola).
