��%BD��%BD%90%BE Meet Momo - The Happiest Little Tripod! ��%BD��%BD%90%BE Momo is a 4.5-month-old puppy who has already been through more than any puppy should ever have to experience - and somehow, she has come out the other side as one of the sweetest, happiest, most loving little girls you could ever meet. ��%BD%9D%A4��%BD��%BD%8F Momo was previously hit by a car by her owners and was not brought in for veterinary care for several days. By the time she was surrendered, she was severely underweight, dehydrated, covered in fleas, and had a dislocated left hip that had been out of joint for far too long. Her previous family was not in a position to provide the extensive care she needed, so I took over her care and gave her the second chance she deserved. Unfortunately, because her hip had been dislocated for so long, it could not be successfully replaced, and Momo was in significant pain. After discussing her options, we decided to amputate her left hind leg. And honestly? Momo doesn't seem to have gotten the memo that she's supposed to be missing a leg. ��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD She is officially a tripod, but being three-legged doesn't slow this girl down one bit. She adapted incredibly quickly and was already essentially not using the leg by the time of her surgery. She runs, plays, wrestles with my dogs, and keeps up with everyone just fine. Watching her learn how to navigate life on three legs has been one of the most rewarding parts of caring for her. Today, Momo is spayed, fully vaccinated, healthy, happy, and ready for her forever home. ��%BD����%BD She is an absolute LOVE. Despite everything she has experienced, she has nothing but affection to give. She loves people, loves to play, and is happiest when she's involved in whatever is happening around her. Of course, Momo is still a puppy! She has plenty of puppy energy and, like most puppies, she thinks bottles, shoes, and basically anything she can get her mouth around are excellent chew toys. ��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD She will need someone who understands that puppies require patience, training, supervision, exercise, and lots of appropriate outlets for all that energy. Because Momo is a tripod, her forever family will also need to be committed to keeping her lean, active, and healthy throughout her life. Regular exercise is important to help maintain strong muscles and support her remaining joints. Keeping her at an appropriate body condition is especially important because carrying excess weight can put additional stress on her remaining limbs and potentially contribute to degenerative joint problems as she ages. I also recommend lifelong joint supplementation and routine veterinary care. Momo is not looking for someone to feel sorry for her. She's looking for someone who will love her, keep her healthy, and let her be the goofy, playful, affectionate puppy she is. ��%BD%9D%A4��%BD��%BD%8F She has already survived the worst. Now she deserves the best. ��%BD��%BD%8F��%BD Adoption requirements: - Must be committed to providing lifelong veterinary care and maintaining a healthy weight. - Must understand the additional considerations that come with owning a tripod. - Must be prepared for the time, patience, exercise, training, and supervision required of a high-energy puppy. - Veterinary references are required. I want to make absolutely certain that Momo's next home is one where she will be loved, properly cared for, and treated as a member of the family for the rest of her life. - A home with other friendly, playful dogs would be wonderful, but the right individual home could also be a great fit. Momo has already had her life turned upside down once. I will be picky about where she goes because she deserves nothing less than an incredible forever home. If you're looking for a puppy who is endlessly loving, ridiculously resilient, and completely unaware that being a tripod is supposed to slow her down, Momo might be your girl. ��%BD��%BD%90%BE��%BD%9D%A4��%BD��%BD%8F
