This German Shepherd was rescued from euthanasia at a large, urban shelter. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, micro-chipped and had a recent veterinarian check. He is solid amber/honey color with black markings- and a white splash across his chest. He is human selective, and seems to prefer male human vs. female human. He is shy and afraid. He is 56 lbs. and full grown. He will need someone who knows how to work with fearful rescued dogs- and can build trust with him. He is potty trained with a dog door. He will also go to the door and wait to go out. He does do general commands of sit, lay down and leash walking. He is afraid of large dogs. He has dog park experience, but is generally afraid of large or aggressive dogs. He does interact appropriately with small, polite gentle dogs. He was shown cats and did not approach them. So he will need very slow interactions to other pets because he fearful around other animals. He does require that you learn/know/utilize apple tracker etc. He was brought to us by canine ground transportation professionals and received a veterinarian evaluation. Therefore his adoption fee is to cover that so we may again rescue more dogs from euthanasia at overcrowded shelters.
