About Kayo

Hi there! My name is Kayo, and I'm a 9-year-old black and white Siberian Husky with the warmest brown eyes, a smile that could melt just about anyone's heart, and enough charm to convince you that frozen green beans are actually a gourmet dessert. Let's address the fluffy elephant in the room... yes, I'm currently rocking the 'extra cuddly' edition of a Husky at about 99 pounds. My previous owner loved me a little too much at mealtime (I was getting six cups of food a day!), but my foster mom has me on a healthy plan now, and I'm already making great progress. What I really need is a family who loves taking walks and will help me continue my journey to my ideal weight. Think of me as your built-in walking buddy... except I won't complain if you want to stop and admire the squirrels. I'm completely housebroken and crate trained. In fact, I think my crate is pretty much my own private bedroom. I happily eat there, nap there, and consider it my personal five-star resort. I'm a laid-back guy who gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Drama? Not interested. Chaos? I'll pass. I'd much rather hang out with my furry friends, chew on a Nylabone, and flash my signature Husky grin at everyone I meet. Cats? Your guess is as good as mine-I haven't had the pleasure (or the negotiation). Everyone says I'm incredibly well-behaved. Even my groomer couldn't stop bragging about what a good boy I was during my bath and nail trim. Personally, I think I was just showing off. When it comes to snacks, I have refined tastes. Forget fancy treats-bring on the frozen green beans! Carrots, peppers, celery... if it grows in a garden, there's a good chance I'm interested. Healthy eating has never looked so handsome. At 9 years old, I've mastered the art of enjoying life. I know when it's time for a nice walk, when it's time for a nap, and when it's time to flash my award-winning smile until someone tells me I'm the best boy ever.
