Laios is a 2 year old Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix. He weighs about 50lbs (last weighed was 47). He is predominantly an outside dog. He was born in a barn and lived with a flock of geese and ducks before coming to live with me around d 6 months old. The reason he needs a new home is because he recently started showing signs of aggression and territorial behaviors towards my other male dog. He does great with female dogs and other male dogs that have submissive personalities. He does ok with cats, maybe a little too nosey sometimes leading to him getting hissed at, but usually learns to respect cats. He is not entirely house trained because him and my other male dog just get into peeing contests. He has never pooped in the house though. He barks to let you know he wants out. He does very well for grooming (tolerates brushes and electric clippers near his feet but doesn't like the clippers near his head) and tolerates the bathtub, though sometimes he tries to escape. If he could be a lap dog, he would. He loves to cuddle! He is somewhat leash trained (he pulls but doesn't go crazy.) He has been an outside dog most of the time, coming in during inclement weather. He loves to run around the yard and dig holes and lay in them. It breaks my heart to rehome him, but I do not have the time to try to correct the behavior between him and my male dog as I recently had a baby and can't risk a dog fight breaking out.
