About Shakespeare

SHAKESPEARE IS LOOKING FOR HIS HAPPY ENDING Meet Shakespeare - a handsome, happy young guy who is ready to find the people who will make the next chapter of his story his best one yet! At just 1 year old and 44 pounds, Shakespeare is full of youthful energy, curiosity and enthusiasm. He loves being outside, exploring his surroundings and, of course, playing! Give him a ball, a few toys and some room to run, and Shakespeare is one happy dog. He has enjoyed shelter playgroups where he has been social and playful with his yard mates. He's an easy greeter and enjoys the company of other dogs, making playtime even more fun. Shakespeare's former family also gave us some wonderful insight into life with him. He lived with adults and children and they described him as friendly with the kids and always happy to see them. He's affectionate, enjoys being petted, and his favorite place to sleep was right on his person's bed. He's curious, loves to run, and has plenty of energy for someone looking for a dog who will happily join them for outdoor adventures and playtime. He also enjoys balls, chew toys and stuffies, so keeping a few favorite toys around is probably a good idea! Shakespeare loves children and enjoys playing with them, but his youthful energy and enthusiasm may be a bit much for very young children. Older children who enjoy an active, playful dog may be a better match. Shakespeare does chase outdoor cats, so a home without cats would be the best fit. This young guy has a lot of personality, a big zest for life and so much potential to be a wonderful companion. Now he's just waiting for someone to help him turn the page to his happy ending.
