Maxwell Has a Gentle Heart to Share! Meet Maxwell, a handsome 52-pound boy with a quiet, reserved nature and a sweet side that emerges when he feels comfortable. Maxwell is shy, quiet and a little unsure, and he may need someone willing to give him the time and encouragement he needs to build his confidence. He already shows that he appreciates kindness, enjoying pets from his handler once he feels comfortable. Sometimes the quieter dogs have the sweetest way of letting you know they're beginning to trust you. For Maxwell, it may be a slow wag, leaning in for a few more pets, or simply choosing to stay close. Those little moments can mean a lot. Maxwell previously lived with other dogs, so he has experience sharing his world with canine companions. Cats were also present in his former home, although we don't know what his interactions with them were like. At an estimated 2-6 years old, Maxwell is past the puppy stage and ready for someone who will give him the patience, consistency and encouragement he needs to blossom.
