Meet Oscar Wilde! ��%90%BE This handsome little guy is a 6-month-old Havanese or Havanese mix weighing about 15 lbs. And if there is one thing Oscar knows how to do, it's win people over. He is a total crowd pleaser with those puppy eyes, a sweet personality, and a love for affection. Oscar is still very much a puppy, which means his new family will need to be committed to continuing his training. He needs structure, routine, consistency, and follow-through as he learns the basics of being a well-mannered dog. House training and crate training will continue to depend heavily on the routine his family establishes. He loves toys and bones, and because he is small and curious, he can reach all kinds of things he probably shouldn't. His family will need to puppy-proof accordingly and continue teaching him what belongs in his mouth and what doesn't. Oscar is great with other dogs and cats and would do best with at least one other dog already in the home. A playful canine companion would be wonderful for him, but he does best in a calmer environment. Too many people coming and going can become overwhelming. He is not comfortable around little kids, so we're looking for a home with children 10+ who are respectful of dogs. A secure fenced yard is required. Oscar is not a good candidate for apartment living because he does not currently potty on leash. And because that beautiful Havanese coat doesn't take care of itself, his family must be prepared for regular professional grooming and ongoing coat care. Oscar is adorable, affectionate, playful, and has absolutely mastered the puppy-eye game. Now he needs someone willing to keep that training momentum going and help him become the great little dog we know he can be.
