About Skye

Skye is a 2 year old male pup needing a new home. Unfortunately his anxious temperament paired me a big shift in home and living circumstances is wreaking havoc on his nervous system: his resource guarding with food and treats is heightened and his determination to escape are at an all time high. His biggest trouble is he just doesn't want to be left alone, that's when his anxious behaviors spike. When we're all home together (myself and 2 toddlers) he is calm and loving. He wants to be with his people always, and unfortunately that's not realistic with my work schedule. I'd love to find him a single or couple adult home who work from home or could check on him throughout the day/take him out for walks throughout the day. He's amazing on a leash and harness and loves a good hike or field to run wild in. He's a very sweet boy and it is really hard for me to recognize Im currently not able to provide the best home option for him. He deserves a home that can invest the time and resources into training and learning how to manage his behaviors to offer him the best quality of life
