Dolly (A2342939) was owner surrendered to our shelter in August along with several other cats and a dog. Medical: Dolly is estimated to be 3 years old, sterilized, and FIV/FeLV not detected. She was processed under sedation and is currently receiving treatment for FAS. She has gingivitis and swelling around her upper right canine. Staff Notes: Dolly has been difficult to handle due to fear. She is very fearful, tense, and has dilated pupils when approached. The vet was able to process her. Behavior Notes: Dolly is an extremely nervous and fearful kitty. She was observed crouching in the corner with wide eyes and lip licking. She showed interest in treats but did not eat and was visibly uncomfortable with interaction. She allowed a brief touch to her paw but became very nervous with hand movements, especially near her face. She did not display offensive behaviors such as hissing, spitting, or lunging. Request to Rescues: Dolly is a beautiful girl who is in need of a rescue that can help her transition into the right home environment. The shelter environment is very stressful for her, and she needs stability, patience, and time to decompress and feel safe. Dolly has been through a lot and deserves the opportunity to come out of her shell and show the sweet side of herself.
