HELP! ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO -Stunning male and female chows rescued from a high kill shelter and now with good Samaritan who needs to find them a loving home together or separately - dog friendly, Honey is okay w cats, Oso may be okay with cats too Honey and Oso were discarded by a backyard breeder and ended up abandoned at a remote shelter where they were added to the euth list and saved on their final day. Taken in by a good Samaritan to foster under an out of state rescue, they are now vetted, fixed, chipped and ready for find their forever home or homes (they can be adopted together or separately). Honey is more friendly with strangers, while Oso is more of a typical chow, more wary of strangers and may need a more chow savvy home. Honey is estimated to be approximately 3 years old and 45 lbs, and Oso may be closer to 6 years old and 55 lbs and likes to protect his friend. The foster describes Honey as 'a very easy-going personality She is crate trained potty trained gets along with dogs. Cats and children has never showed any aggression and is even able to get groomed very polite very well mannered good appetite. She is a little bit nervous but when she trust you, she opens up. She's very reserved.' For Oso, he says 'It takes a while for him to open up, but once he does, he is a full on puppy hoping to get rehomed with honey this year, they are a great pair. Oso can walk well uses the bathroom outside he gets along with most dogs dogs his size or possibly a little bigger has not bitten any dogs or humans. I think it'll just take time to get used to new dogs or people, very energetic personality very playful very funny. He stays outside for about 6 or 7 hours a day comes inside for the rest of the time.. I don't think he has been tested with smaller dogs so I wouldn't know for sure. He seems to be fine with people after he is introduced a few times he's very hesitant in the beginning and can be a little bit feisty and growl a little bit but he's a big teddy bear. I have plenty of videos of him rolling around on the floor like a little baby.' Some minimal transport may be available to qualified homes and for a fee.
