About Oakley

Meet our sweet teenage Mastiff girl , Oakley, who's disabled, scared of the world, and in desperate need of a soft place to land. This beautiful soul needs a foster who can give her the space to decompress safely, ideally with a calm, separated setup (even a gated-off area in the same room works). She's overwhelmed and unsure and responding in a reactive manner right now. She needs help to learn that the world isn't so scary, and you can be her guide. You won't be doing this alone: A professional behavior consultant will work with you virtually every step of the way. The rescue covers her medical needs, including therapy treatments she just needs a ride there. She'll be learning to use her wheelchair, and needs someone gentle, patient, and willing to help her take those first steps toward freedom.
