About Peggy

Peggy is a timid little 30 pound #Beagle mix that was picked up by Animal Control Officers on 8/24/26 after being witnessed getting struck by a vehicle and left in the street with severe leg injuries :( Little Peggy suffered some some moderate injuries, but unfortunately the worst damage is a badly broken right hind leg she received during the accident :O The shelters medical team is currently assisting Peggy through the trauma with adequate bandaging and pain management, but needs more advanced support and thorough examination from a specialist for likeliness of orthopedic surgery to her broken leg. Due to Peggy's need for additional support to receive proper care, Long Beach Animal Care Services is seeking immediate rescue placement with pick up no later than end of day Sunday September 6th 2026.
