Meet Bookie - the sweetest teddy bear! Bookie is an absolute gem of a boy! This handsome German Shepherd mix is 3-4 years old and 88 lbs, and he was saved from the euthanasia list with only hours to spare. Now he has a second chance at life, and he is more than ready to make the most of it. Bookie is full of life! He is an incredibly sweet, happy boy who is wonderful with everyone he meets including kids and gets along great with other dogs. He loves giving kisses, to play, have fun, and be part of whatever his people are doing. Bookie is also one smart boy! He knows several commands, including bring it, catch, drop, sit, and lay down. He is playful, intelligent, affectionate, and has so much personality. He would make a wonderful companion for a family looking for a loving boy who still has plenty of fun and adventures ahead of him. After coming so close to losing his life, Bookie deserves a family who will give him all the love, happiness, and security he deserves. He has so much life and love left to give.
