Hi ya! My name is Daniel and my rescue story started on a rainy day! I was found wandering alone until a kind stranger spotted me, brought me into her yard, and called for help. Even in spite of that scary start, I'm one of the happiest, silliest boys you'll ever meet! I'm 3 years old and 25lbs of total velcro Cocker, and I love nothing more than curling up right next to you on the couch or snoozing by your feet - you won't be able to stop petting me�'�|my coat is so soft. I've got a goofy streak - give me a stuffie and I'll toss it in the air and catch it, over and over, just for the fun of it. I'm wonderful with other dogs and love taking my cues from them, so a doggie sibling would be the perfect match for me, giving me extra confidence in new situations. I'm gentle and respectful with cats, and I am good with kids ages 8 and up. I'm an easygoing guy: I walk beautifully on leash and enjoy exploring, I'm a great car rider, and I'm crate trained - I enjoy sleeping in it at night and even wander in during the day for a nap or quiet time. I have good house manners when kept on a regular schedule�'�|I might need a quick refresher as I settle into a new home. Here's what makes me extra special: I'm deaf, likely from birth, so I 'listen' with my eyes instead of my ears. I already know hand signals for sit and come, and I seem to understand some sign language too - I'm a quick, eager learner who just needs people willing to speak my language.
