About Oreo

Oreo is a sweet, playful, and occasionally sassy goofball with a loving pe3rsonality. Once she sets her eyes on you, you quickly become the center of her attention. She enjoys sunbathing, going for walks, and spending quality time with her people. She is a senior dog, approx 10 years old and weighs 45 lbs. Once comfortable, Oreo is incredibly affectionate and will give you an endless amount of companionship. Oreo is both crate trained and potty trained. She may bark to get your attention, particularly when she needs to go potty and wants your attention, but this is simply one of the ways she communicates her needs and affection. Oreo will need some time to become comfortable around dogs and cats. We recommend approximately one to two weeks of gradual introductions, supervision, and crate separation as needed to allow her to adjust at her own pace. With patience and proper introductions, she has the ability to become comfortable with other pets. Recently our family assumed responsibility for caring for a relative's dog following their passing. Although we have made every effort to help the two dogs adjust to one another they have unfortunately been unable to establish a comfortable relationship. To no fault with Oreo. The other dog has medical needs that we are currently working on and the new pet happens to be blind. We recognize that we may no longer be able to provide Oreo with the level of time, attention, and care that she deserves. After careful consideration, we believe that Oreo may have a better quality of life in a home where she can receive more individual attention and companionship. We feel she would thrive with someone who has more time to dedicate to her, can provide greater opportunities to spend time outdoors, and can offer her stability. If permitted, Oreo will come with her crate, food, and treats. Please consider adopting this sweet furry companion. Rehoming fee to ensure she goes to a good home and fee will go to RescueMe.
