About Bowie

We adopted Bowie from the East County Animal Shelter in early 2020, and he has been a wonderful companion and beloved member of our family ever since. We estimate he is about 11 years old, although his exact age is unknown since he was a rescue. Bowie is incredibly friendly, sweet, gentle, and low-maintenance. He has always been wonderful with our young children and loves being around people. These days, he mostly enjoys relaxing, receiving affection, and having plenty of quiet time to rest. In 2024, Bowie was diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma and has a tumor on his face. After careful consideration, we decided not to pursue treatment. Despite his diagnosis, he has continued to live happily with us for the past two years. We are looking for a new home because our young children make it difficult for Bowie to get the peace and rest he needs. We hope to find him a calm, loving home where he can spend his remaining years feeling safe, comfortable, and cared for.
