PEPPER is a 2.5-year-old Chorkie who weighs 11 pounds. She came to us as an owner surrender and is looking for a new family to call her own. PEPPER is a perfect companion dog and will be happiest with someone who isn't gone from the home for long. PEPPER is a sweet little girl who loves people and wants to be near her person most of the time. She has a little separation anxiety when left alone and does not enjoy spending time away from her people. However, with a dog friend, she will settle down and find a comfortable spot and wait for her person to come home. PEPPER likes other small dogs and would love a home with a friendly furry friend to explore the yard and chase squirrels with (a favorite pastime!). Since she does best with another little dog, that is a requirement in her new home. We do not know how she would be with kids or cats. PEPPER does well with potty training and will use a pad as long as it is kept in a consistent area. She does not like using a doggie door and is hesitant to go outside without her person, even when another dog is with her. Her foster carries her outside after dark because she will not venture out alone. She is not good kenneled but does fine being gated into an area if necessary. PEPPER rides well in the car, walks on leash and would probably enjoy getting more accustomed to going for walks. Because she loves to chase squirrels and would probably take off after something in an unsecured area, a fenced yard is required. At night, PEPPER loves sleeping in bed right beside you. PEPPER is spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review.
