Sandy was pulled from a Columbus kill shelter the day before she was scheduled to be euthanized. She had a potential adoption lined up, but the family returned her after she growled at their young child. In poor Sandy's defense, she had just come from heaving dental surgery where she lost 20 teeth, so who could blame her for feeling a little grumpy?? After that, was labeled as 'unadoptable' and put on the euth list. In her foster home, she has been very loving, loves to be petted, and loves to play with the 14 resident dogs. She will put her paws on you and give you kisses. She rarely barks and sleeps in her crate through the night. Her fur was horribly matted when she came into rescue, so she needed to be shaved down. We promise all the pictures are of the same dog! The groomer was very impressed with how easily she allowed her to do her work. Although she's 10, no one seems to have told her! She plays like a youngster and still has a good amount of energy. Sandy is a special little soul and will be a delight to anyone lucky enough to have her. Sandy is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She is being fostered in Greenville, OH and is available for an adoption fee of $300.00.
