About Mellie

Mellie is finding herself becoming homeless due to the baby in the family starting to crawl! Mellie needs to be in a home without SMALL kids and puppies!!! She is good with older kids but little ones crawling around make her nervous!!! This sweet 7 year old 40lb girl needs a calm low energy home. She is house trained and does not need to be crated!! She is not destructive and only chews on her toys. Mellie is trained to ask permission before getting on the furniture or bed. She also will let you know when she needs to go potty. She does great in the car and likes playing Driving Miss Mellie as she sits in the backseat like a person. She is NOT food aggressive and doesn't resource guard. She is not a fan of chicken so her new family/adopter will need to feed her something other than chicken. Mellie walks well on a leash but doesn't like loud noises. When it thunders she just wants to be under a blanket with her people. She is spayed and up to date on her vetting and ready for a calm loving furever home. She would do great with a couple with no little ones in the home or who have older/grown kids. ** All of our Wigglers are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, hw tested/treated, and on preventatives. We require receipts spanning 2 consistent years of HW preventatives for already owned pets, UTD on shots, and spay/neuter in order to adopt. Please read their description above closely.
