About Java

Meet Java! Java is a handsome 9-week-old boy who is ready to wake up your life with plenty of puppy fun! He was born on June 26, 2026, and currently weighs 11 pounds. Java is one of Athena's 10 puppies. We don't know exactly what breeds make up this litter. Athena appears to be a Pit Bull mix and weighs about 60 pounds. We also aren't sure if all of the puppies have the same dad, so there could be some interesting surprises hiding in their DNA. We have actually sent a Wisdom Panel DNA test for Java, and we're eagerly waiting to see what the results reveal about this mystery mix! Java is still figuring out what to do with his legs and is a bit uncoordinated. That doesn't stop him from trying to keep up with his littermates. He is one of the first puppies to need a nap and loves to find a lap to sleep on. Java is expected to grow into a large adult dog, likely around Mom's size. Because of that, Java's forever home will require a physically fenced yard where there is plenty of room to run, play, explore, and burn off all that puppy energy. At 9 weeks old, Java is just beginning to learn what it means to be a well-mannered family dog. His new family will need to continue working on house training, basic obedience, and socialization using positive reinforcement. He will need patience, consistency, and frequent opportunities to learn as he grows. Java has been neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and has received his first distemper/parvo vaccine. His adopter will be responsible for two additional distemper/parvo vaccines and his rabies vaccine at 16 weeks of age. Java is ready to meet prospective families and is looking for someone who is ready for puppy cuddles, playtime, zoomies, training, and all the adorable chaos that comes with raising a puppy.
