Dallas is an Australian Shepherd with a gorgeous chocolate coat that turns copper in the sunlight, and a heart the size of Texas. %A4Z Dallas was abandoned by his previous owners, and he struggles with separation anxiety. He wants to be with his people all the time. And when I say all the time, I mean he would happily crawl inside your skin if you let him! He wants to be in your bubble, touching you, following you, and making sure you are never more than approximately three inches away. He settles well and often naps at my feet while I work at my desk. Dallas is working on lots of manners right now-waiting at the door instead of bolting out, staying on all fours when he meets new people, and giving personal space when asked by both people and other dogs. He likes other dogs; my two females just don't necessarily find his constant sniffing and licking as charming as he does. He is also working on sleeping in his crate all night long. He does still need to make sure the humans haven't left him a few times throughout the night, though. Dallas is very affectionate. He has a wonderful temperament, is extremely smart, and is potty trained! He loves to play fetch and walks great on a leash. He is genuinely such a good boy.ٴ Dallas is going to be a higher-maintenance dog. His coat requires regular grooming, his separation anxiety will take patience and consistency, and he needs someone willing to work on his manners and help him learn appropriate social boundaries. He also needs mental and physical exercise every day. He doesn't need someone looking for a perfect dog. He needs someone willing to put in the effort to love him back. %A4Z *breeds listed are best guesses based on appearance
