SUNDAY - Still Waiting for Her Person Sunday is the kind of dog who may not run up and introduce herself right away. She needs a little time to decide that you're safe. But for the person willing to give her that time, there is a beautiful girl underneath all that shyness just waiting to come out. Sunday is a gorgeous gray-and-white Pit Bull mix, approximately 4-5 years old and around 55 pounds. She has been waiting far too long for someone to finally choose her. She can be timid with new people and unfamiliar situations, so Sunday isn't looking for someone who expects an instant best friend. She's looking for a patient, understanding person who will let the relationship happen at her pace. Give her consistency, kindness and a little time, and you may be surprised by just how much this girl has to give. Sunday would do best in a home with a secure yard and a tall fence, preferably around six feet. She has also been known to dig, so her new family will need to keep an eye on her when she's outside. For Sunday, supervised outdoor time and a securely fenced area will be important. What she needs most, though, isn't a perfect yard or a perfect house. She needs someone who won't give up on her. Sunday has spent enough of her life waiting and watching other dogs get their chance. She deserves to know what it feels like to belong to somebody-to have her own bed, her own routine, and a person who wakes up every morning knowing that Sunday is theirs. She may take a little more patience than some dogs. But sometimes the dogs who take the longest to trust us are the ones whose love means the most. Sunday is ready for someone to finally say, 'You don't have to wait anymore. You're coming home.'
