Meet Tiger - Three Years Old and Still Waiting for His Person Tiger is a beautiful 3-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix with a gentle heart, soulful eyes, and so much love left to give. Tiger hasn't had the easiest start in life. He became seriously ill with heartworms and faced a long, difficult road to recovery. But this sweet boy fought through treatment and conquered heartworm disease. We hoped his happy ending would come next. Instead, Tiger has spent much of his young life in boarding, watching other dogs leave with their families while he remains behind, waiting for his turn. And we truly don't understand why. Tiger is the kind of dog who can be easy to overlook-not because he lacks anything, but because he isn't demanding or flashy. He doesn't push his way into the spotlight. He simply waits quietly for someone to notice the wonderful dog right in front of them. He is housebroken, gets along with other dogs, rides beautifully in the car, and is absolutely wonderful on a leash. A walk with Tiger is easy and enjoyable. He stays close, takes in the world calmly, and seems happiest just being beside his person. Most of all, Tiger is a gentle soul. His sweet, soulful eyes seem to ask the same question every day: When will it finally be my turn? At only three years old, Tiger should be sharing everyday life with a family-taking morning walks, riding along on weekend adventures, relaxing in the house, and falling asleep each night knowing he is safe and loved. Instead, Tiger is back in boarding again. He has already spent far too much of his life waiting. He has overcome heartworm disease, endured uncertainty, and continued to greet people with the same gentle spirit. Now he needs someone to see him, choose him, and give him the home he has been waiting for. Please don't let Tiger spend another year in boarding. He doesn't need anything extraordinary-just a person or family willing to give a quiet, deserving dog the chance he has been missing.
