About Penn

Meet Penn Penn is a 3-year-old German Shepherd mix weighing about 48 pounds - a wonderful medium-sized boy who is desperately ready for a person of his own. Penn's foster home fell through, and he is now living in a boarding facility. For a dog who absolutely lives for human companionship, kennel life is especially hard. Penn doesn't want much - he just wants to belong to someone. This boy LOVES people. He loves being with his humans, going for car rides, taking walks, playing ball, and simply hanging out beside the person he trusts. Give Penn your attention and he will happily give you his whole heart in return. Penn does need to be the only dog in the home. He cannot live with other dogs, and we want to be completely upfront about that. But if you are looking for one dog to be your dog, Penn may be exactly who you've been waiting for. He has more than enough love and personality to fill a home all by himself. What Penn needs most right now isn't another kennel. He needs a person. Someone who will look at him and say, 'You're coming home with me.' Someone who wants a walking buddy, a passenger for car rides, a ball-playing partner, and a loyal companion waiting to see them at the end of the day. Penn has already lost the foster home he thought he was going to have. We don't want boarding to become his life while he waits for someone to notice him. Penn doesn't need a house full of dogs.
