About Sam

Sam may be 4 years old and he's a young dog with a big heart and a gentle soul. He is very laid back. This sweet tan Pit mix has been through a lot in his life. He was once used as a bait dog, and though he still bears some scars, his spirit is stronger and more loving than ever. Sam is housebroken, crate-trained, and incredibly loyal and affectionate. He lights up the moment he sees you come home and loves to go for walks, sit by your side, and simply watch over you. He's a calm, caring companion who finds happiness just being near his person. He's now heartworm negative and healthy, after bravely overcoming that battle too. Sam loves everyone he meets and has been waiting patiently for his forever home, where he can finally be loved and protected the way he deserves.
