When Tanner first came into our care, he was in heartbreaking condition. He had been terribly starved and had lost most of his hair. It was hard to imagine what this sweet boy had been through. But with good food, love, patience, and care, Tanner began to heal. And just look at him now. He has blossomed into an absolutely beautiful boy, inside and out. Despite everything he went through, Tanner is incredibly loving and has such a wonderful temperament. He listens very well and genuinely wants to please his people. Tanner is completely housebroken and gets along well with other dogs. His one requirement is that his forever home cannot have cats. He loves the simple things in life - curling up on the couch with his person, going for long walks, hopping in the car for a ride, and simply being included in whatever youre doing. Hes the kind of dog who is happiest just knowing he belongs. Tanner has waited a very long time for someone to choose him. He has already overcome the hardest part of his journey.
