Located in Pensacola, Fl . ** Fenced yard required** Meet Lady Vivienne Alexandra If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate little companion with a big personality packed into 17 pounds, allow us to introduce you to Lady Vivienne Alexandra. Vivienne is an approximately 5-year-old Miniature Schnauzer who loves people and absolutely adores being petted. She settles nicely, although she can get excited when her people come home or when she thinks food might be involved. She may greet you with a few enthusiastic jumps, but she is learning her manners. Vivienne does well with both dogs and cats. She is very interested in cats, but so far her investigative technique consists mostly of sitting quietly and watching them. She could happily live with another dog or be perfectly content as your one-and-only. She is just discovering the wonderful world of toys and has developed a particular fondness for chew toys and anything that crinkles. If another dog steals her toy, Vivienne's response is essentially to look deeply disappointed and move along. We are still figuring out whether her growing toy obsession will eventually turn into a desire to play with canine friends. This girl is highly food-motivated and happily accepts carrots and zucchini, because apparently vegetables are snacks when you are Lady Vivienne. She is doing wonderfully in her crate and has had no accidents while crated, with up to six hours so far. Her potty training is coming along beautifully, although she has had a few accidents in the house as she continues to learn. Vivienne will need continued leash work and a family willing to keep working with her. She is also an escape artist, so a securely fenced yard is highly recommended. A dog door and unsupervised outdoor time are not appropriate for this little Houdini. Vivienne arrived in rescue and needed surgery shortly afterward, so she has not yet been tested in a wide variety of environments. Based on what we have seen so far, however, she is a wonderful little dog who could fit into many different homes. She would likely do well with a single person, a couple, older individuals, or a family with older children. A home with older children may even bring out more of her playful side. Lady Vivienne Alexandra is ready to trade her rescue life for a forever home where she can be loved, spoiled, fed vegetables, given crinkly toys, and admired like the tiny Schnauzer royalty she believes herself to be.
