About Henry

This sweet old boy is Henry. I rescued him from Carson shelter the day he was going to be euthanized a few months ago, and now I am looking for his forever home. He was surrendered due to his old owner passing away. I say this with no exaggeration: what an incredible dog. He he phenomenal with every dog he meets, both large and small. Very gentle with people and dogs, he's been great with kids too. Very good leash manners, and a low energy dog. He's happy to go on an evening walk, a hike, or spend the day relaxing indoors. He loves to play with his ball too, and loves treats. No known allergies. No separation anxiety. Completely crate trained and house trained. Very sweet at his vet visit. SUCH a lovely dog. He's very cuddly and loves to lay next to you (or on top of you) on the couch. He's never barked in the time I've had him, he's quiet and sweet. Overall a low energy dog who would do fantastic in pretty much any home setting. My vet believes he's older, around 8 years old. He's microchipped, neutered, and updated on vaccines. Deemed healthy and happy by my vet! I brush his teeth every evening which he's very good for. His dental health has been improving, and my vet doesn't believe he needs a dental right now. I would absolutely keep him myself if I could, but I have two other dogs and couldn't afford a third at this time, so he's my foster dog. I'm located in Simi Valley, and am asking $35 as his rehoming fee. He will go home with his food, his bed and some of his favorite toys. I also offer free pet sitting to whoever adopts him. If the adoption doesn't work out I can take him back at any point in time. I do prefer someone local to Simi adopt him, and would love to see him go to a home with another dog.
