About Rome

They say Rome wasn't built in a day�'�| ������ But this Rome? She was apparently built to be beautiful, ridiculous, affectionate, playful and approximately the size of a small Italian villa. �%9D%A4��%8F Ciao, amici! ��������%90%BE My name is Rome, and yes, I know what you're thinking. ���� A Cane Corso named Rome? Honestly, my name is pretty perfect. �����%8F The Cane Corso is an Italian breed with roots in the working dogs of southern Italy, known historically for being loyal, versatile protectors. And then there's me�'�| Well�'�| I apparently took the 'protector' part and decided I would rather protect everyone from having a bad day. ���� Because I LOVE people. Everyone is my friend. I LOVE dogs. Big dogs, little dogs, puppies�'�| I don't discriminate. If you have four legs and want to play, we are probably going to be best friends. ���%8F And puppies? Oh, I absolutely adore them. I've become a little mama figure to my foster siblings, and I'm happiest when I have another dog around. I love playing, wrestling, running around and, most importantly, being chased. I also have a very serious relationship with tennis balls and rope toys. ��Z%BE�ٻ� I'll bring my toy to you. You throw it. I bring it back. You throw it again. Eventually you will realize that you have accidentally signed up for a full time position as my personal entertainment director. ��Z� But as much as I love to play, I have another side that might be even sweeter. �٤%81 I want to be beside you. On the couch, Next to you, wherever you are! You have pillows? Excellent. I will arrange them into my own personal little fortress and sleep on top of them like the queen I am. ���� And if you happen to be sitting there? Well, obviously I should be touching you. My foster mom says I want to be the little spoon. �ٴ� Which is adorable �����%8F Except I am a Cane Corso. I am a GIANT little spoon. �ٴ� I truly have no idea how big I am. I am just a giant teddy bear �٤� with a very soft heart �����%8F I'm also the kind of girl who makes those deep, dramatic Rottie noises. �٪� I know, I'm a Cane Corso. But apparently somewhere along the way, a Rottweiler snuck into my vocal cords. ���� So if you hear me grumbling and making my little Rottie noises, don't worry. That's just my Italian accent. ������ And my personality? Chefs kiss �٤ԉ'�%8D��%8D����� I'm friendly, I'm confident, I'm affectionate, I'm playful, I'm calm when it's time to relax, I'm silly when it's time to play, I adjust beautifully to my people, And everyone seems to be my favorite person. I'm house trained, crate trained, fantastic on a leash, wonderful in the car and I have excellent house manners. I know 'sit.' I know 'come.' And I'm currently working on 'give me a kiss.' Honestly, I think I'm doing pretty well. ���� I'm also very treat motivated, ��|� so I'm always open to continuing my education. ��Z� I believe strongly in lifelong learning. �٤%A0 Especially if snacks are involved. ��%8D� My dream home is A family who will love me for the giant, goofy, affectionate girl I am. A family who understands my breed and wants to continue giving me the structure, training and companionship I need. And preferably�'�| A DOG friend or more! I really love having another dog around, and I would be happiest with a canine best friend to share my adventures, playtime and naps. �����%8F I'd love a family who wants to walk with me, explore with me, play with me and then come home and pile up on the couch. ���ܕ�%8F Because I am equally talented at adventure ��%8F���%8Fand absolutely doing nothing.���%A4 And if you're wondering whether I'm a gentle giant or a class clown ��%A4� The answer is yes. Very much yes. I may have the impressive head, powerful build and noble look of a Cane Corso, but underneath all of that is a goofy �٪� girl who thinks everyone is a friend, every dog is a potential playmate and every couch is an invitation to cuddle. ��%A4� They say Rome wasn't built in a day. ������ Maybe that's true, But this Rome has already built something pretty special�'�| A very big heart. �%9D%A4��%8F Now all I need is someone to help me build the rest of my story. ���� La mia famiglia per sempre. ��������%90%BE My forever family.
