I'm Lily Pad�'�| but Lily is perfectly fine. �ٻ� Although, if you ask me, I think Sweetest Girl in the Entire World has a nice ring to it. Just saying. �٤%81 I'm about 4 years old, and I'm basically the perfect combination of sweet, silly, snuggly, well mannered, and just a tiny bit ridiculous. ���� I might be a little shy when we first meet. I like to take my time, watch you for a minute, and make sure you're one of the good ones. But once I decide I trust you? Oh, honey. ��%8D� You're my best friend! And I am going to LOVE you.�%9D%A4��%8F I'll follow you around the house. I'll curl up beside you, I'll give you kisses, I'll put my head in your lap, I'll ask for belly rubs, I'll happily accept approximately one million hugs, ��%A4� And if you happen to sit down on the couch, I will immediately begin calculating how I can get as close to you as physically possible. I am an absolute lovebug. �����%8F I adore my people and I have so much affection to give. I'm the kind of girl who will quietly snuggle beside you and make you wonder how you ever lived without me. And just when you think I'm the calmest, sweetest little lady�'�| SURPRISE! ���� I HAVE A BALL. ��Z%BE I love to chase my toys, �٤� toss them around, and roll onto my back like a goofy �٪� little puppy while I play. Sometimes I entertain myself, which is adorable. Sometimes I'll bring the fun to you, because obviously games are better when my people participate. ��ե I'm also a wonderful family dog. ��%8F��%9D%A4��%8F I do beautifully with other dogs, and I'm wonderful with kids. I'm happy to have four legged friends around, but if you're wondering what I really want at the end of the day�'�| It's you. My people are my favorite. I've even met cats, and I basically said, 'Oh, you live here? Cool.' ������%90� And then there are my manners. �Ϭ House trained �Ϭ Quiet in the house �Ϭ Great on a leash �Ϭ Responds beautifully to leash pressure �Ϭ Past my crazy puppy stage �Ϭ Lower energy �Ϭ Happy to play �Ϭ Even happier to cuddle Basically, I have reached the age where I appreciate a nice walk, a little playtime, a comfy couch, and a good nap. ���� I am not asking for much. Except maybe your entire heart. �%9D%A4��%8F And your couch. ���ܕ�%8F And your attention. And your snacks. ���� But other than that, I'm very low maintenance. ����%9D%A4��%8F There is, however, one thing I feel strongly about�'�| �ٴ� Texas is HOT. Like�'�| disrespectfully hot. I spent way too much of my life living outside, and now that I've discovered air conditioning, I have decided I like the inside better �%9D��%8F I'll happily go outside for a walk or to take care of business, but if you leave me out there for too long, I will stand at the door and stare at you like: 'Ma'am. Sir. Human. The AC is literally right there. Let's make better choices.' ���� I'm perfectly content to spend the day lounging nearby my people. But I also know how to relax when they leave. I'll take a nap, wait patiently, and then be absolutely beside myself with happiness when they come home. ���� Because that's the thing about me�'�| I just really, really love my people. �ٴ��٩� I'm not the dog who needs a thousand adventures or a house full of excitement. I want a family, I want someone to scratch behind my ears and tell me I'm a good girl. I want kids to love me and other dogs to play with. I want someone who doesn't mind that I will probably follow them from room to room because, frankly, wherever you are sounds like the best place to be. And most of all�'�| I want to finally know what it feels like to be someone's girl. �ٴ� I spent the beginning of my life without the security and love every dog deserves. But I'm ready to leave that chapter behind. I'm ready for the soft beds. ���� The belly rubs. The afternoon naps. The family photos. ����The car rides. ��s� The toys scattered across the living room. �٤���|���Z%BE The kids who sneak me an extra treat. ���� The humans who kiss my forehead just because they can. And the forever home where I never have to wonder again if I belong. Because I do. I just need someone to give me the chance to show them. ���� I'm Lily. I'm sweet. I'm silly. I'm cuddly.
