About Spot

Spot is a 2 year old 20 pound poodle/Schnauzer mix who is extremely intelligent and loving. He has recently been diagnosed with IVDD, but is largely recovered. We are looking for a new home for him only if we can find a near perfect match, otherwise we will keep him. Spot has significant resource guarding. He resource guards the mother in our home, and regularly bites other members of the family. We are currently working with a trainer and have him on medication, but it has been an uphill struggle. He definitely prefers women to men and we will consider a home with one single woman only, no children. The upside is that he is very intelligent, is an affectionate love when he isn't guarding ,and does very well with other dogs. We have not included a photo as there are members in our community, who would gladly take him in, but are not a good fit at all.
