Two Beautiful Bonded Brothers Looking for Their Forever Home Meet Oros and Custos, two incredibly sweet, affectionate, loving young Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix brothers who are looking for a very special forever home-together. Oros and Custos were adopted as puppies and have been raised together from birth. They are 10 months old, deeply bonded, affectionate with one another, and we are committed to keeping them together. They will only be placed in the same home. This has been an incredibly difficult and emotional decision for our family. We love these boys very much. They are not being rehomed because they are 'bad dogs.' They are wonderful, loving dogs with big personalities and natural livestock guardian instincts. As they've grown, we've realized that our home and lifestyle are simply not the best long-term fit for what these boys need-and we want to find a home where they can truly thrive. About Oros and Custos ��%BD��%BD%90%BE Bonded brothers - must stay together ��%BD��%BD%90%BE Young Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mixes ��%BD��%BD%90%BE Large, affectionate, sweet, and deeply loving dogs ��%BD��%BD%90%BE Raised together since puppies ��%BD��%BD%90%BE Both love their humans and enjoy being close to the family and also love to play outside. They prefer cooler climates ��%BD��%BD%90%BE They sleep best indoors at night, in the bedroom with their humans ��%BD��%BD��%BDS ��%BD��%BD%90%BE They are accustomed to being family dogs and living inside the home but they also love to play outside ��%BD��%BD%90%BE They enjoy having outdoor space but are not 'outside-only' dogs They are not being placed as working livestock guardian dogs. However, because of their size, breed characteristics, and natural guardian instincts, we believe they would thrive with people who have plenty of space and understand and appreciate large guardian-breed dogs. A home with acreage, room to roam safely, and humans who understand Great Pyrenees/LGD-type personalities would be wonderful. Just as importantly, they need to be beloved members of the family who live inside with their people. These boys do not want to be isolated outside in a barn or left alone on a property. They are affectionate, social with their family, and happiest when they can be close to their humans. A little about their personalities Oros is the more alert and guardian-oriented of the two. He takes his job of monitoring the environment seriously and will alert bark when he believes something needs attention. He loves to 'guard' his family with alert barking to let. you know of potential threats (including leaves, helicopters, unknown people, etc.). His new family should understand that this is part of his guardian-breed nature. Custos is generally the more mellow and easygoing of the brothers, although he also has natural guardian instincts and will occasionally alert bark. Both boys are loving, affectionate, and wonderful dogs. They simply need a home that is a better match for who they naturally are. Important placement requirements Because we love these dogs deeply and are committed to finding the right home, we will be carefully screening potential adopters. Oros and Custos: ��%BD%9D%A4��%BD��%BD%8F Must remain together ��%BD%9D%A4��%BD��%BD%8F Must live primarily indoors as beloved family members ��%BD%9D%A4��%BD��%BD%8F Must have adequate, secure space appropriate for two large dogs with fencing ��%BD%9D%A4��%BD��%BD%8F Must go to people who understand and appreciate large guardian breeds ��%BD%9D%A4��%BD��%BD%8F Are not available for breeding ��%BD%9D%A4��%BD��%BD%8F Are currently intact because of their age and will only be placed with adopters who agree to have them neutered at the appropriate time (between 18-24 months) ��%BD%9D%A4��%BD��%BD%8F Must go to a safe, stable, loving home There will be a $200 rehoming fee per dog, along with a screening process, to help ensure that we find a committed and appropriate home. We understand that finding the right family for two large, bonded dogs may take time. We are not looking for the fastest placement. We are looking for the right one.
