I am looking for a loving and responsible home for my 8-year-old male dog. He is not castrated, fully vaccinated and microchipped, and is generally healthy. He can occasionally get hot spots from licking his paws, but otherwise has no ongoing health issues. He is raw fed once a day in the evening and enjoys two daily walks - around 20 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening. He is also used to being home alone during the day, usually from around 7:30/8am until 5pm, and has never toileted indoors. He is a very affectionate boy who loves attention from people and is great with children. He can be quite variable with other dogs, and for that reason it is best to avoid other dogs unless you have experience with bigger breeds. He knows several commands, including sit, down, stay, touch (recall) and speak. He has had limited exposure to cats. He regularly walks past my neighbour's cat without showing much interest, although I cannot say how he would react to a cat face-to-face. This is an incredibly difficult decision, but I am relocating to Australia on 1 September and, unfortunately, I am unable to take him with me. I am conscious that I am working to a deadline and need to find him a home fairly soon. However, I absolutely refuse to put him into kennels, so finding him a loving home is my priority. I am looking for someone who will genuinely love him and give him the care and attention he deserves. I will of course provide his bedding, food and water bowls, along with anything else that will help make the transition as comfortable as possible. He means a lot to me, and although I am under some time pressure, I will be careful about who he goes to. My main priority is finding him a safe, happy and loving forever home where he will be treated as part of the family. This is an incredibly difficult decision, and I will only let Belly go to a home where I know he will be loved, well cared for, and treated as part of the family. If you think you could offer Belly the forever home he deserves, I'd love to hear from you.
