She's an indoor pup with a soft heart, a playful spirit, and the cutest happy sway when she trots around. Give her a toy or a ball and she'll entertain herself with joyful pounces, silly chewing sessions, and impressive 'puzzle�'��solving' as she wiggles toys out of tight spots. She's also a seasonal enthusiast - Moon Pie adores romping through crunchy autumn leaves and bouncing around in winter snow. Watching her hop through a leaf pile or prance in fresh snowfall is pure joy. Despite her playful side, Moon Pie is actually a relatively low�'��energy dog. She enjoys a good romp, then happily curls up for a cozy nap. She's crate trained, spayed, and does best on sensitive�'��stomach food. She also loves kids deeply and will do her best to 'protect' them from her sworn enemy: the vacuum cleaner. Moon Pie does have some worries about the world. Sudden or unfamiliar noises - passing cars, house creaks, the ice maker - can make her anxious, and she may growl when startled. She also prefers not to share her food and may growl if another dog gets too close during mealtime. Because of this, she'll thrive best in a quieter home where she can feel safe, and likely as the only dog. She's not always the most delicate player (her enthusiastic pouncing can be a little rough on carpets!), and she does enjoy chewing on her bed from time to time. But her heart is pure gold. With patience, understanding, and a calm environment, Moon Pie blossoms into the sweetest, most loyal companion. She gives endless kisses, stays close to her people, and responds to love with even more love. Moon Pie is looking for a family who will help her feel secure, celebrate her gentle spirit, and guide her through her fears.
