About Squishy

Looking for a beautiful, quiet, loving, calm cat? Squishy is about 5 years old and needs a new home due to his owner passing away. Squishy is a smart cat. He will play fetch with his sparkle balls. Throw it and he will bring it back. He likes the turbo scratcher toy where the ball goes around and he hasn't figured out how to get the ball out yet. He will even play hide and seek with you once comfortable. He knows his name and will come when called. Squishy had a hard couple years with his owner being ill. He has trouble with loud noises and fast movement/activity. He will hide if uncertain and could use a room that's his safe space. Squishy can be skittish around strangers but once is used to them will be fine. He will go hide but may come out and check things out. Though has issues with noise, Squishy is highly adaptable to his environment. He especially likes being petted and groomed and, once comfortable, will come to sit next to you on the couch. Squishy will need to be regularly groomed as his hair easily mats. We took him to the groomer to get him all cleaned up for his new home. He's not a fan of being held but will tolerate it, including his nails being trimmed when held. Squishy would do best in a quiet, calm environment where he can move around freely and be able to see out a window to watch nature. He would enjoy a cat tower where he can be high above to watch everything. He is not a good grazer so will need a setting where food is controlled by a feeding schedule. He prefers hard food. Squishy is a very special cat that just needs the perfect home to help him really come out of his shell. He will be dedicated to you for life once he knows you are safe.
