Jason is a 3-year-old Akita/Chow mix with the looks of a lion and the personality to match. True to his breed mix, he carries himself with confidence and independence - but for an Akita/Chow, he's a notably friendly boy. With his people, Jason is affectionate, sweet, and surprisingly tender. He loves cuddling and being close once he bonds. And if you find the right spot for butt scratches, you'll be rewarded with his signature happy back-leg tap dance - it's impossible not to smile. Like many in his breed mix, Jason can be a bit aloof with strangers at first. He's observant and thoughtful about new people, but once you're in his circle, you're in. Tolerates brushing well - which is important because that thick, beautiful coat will need regular grooming Jason is a strong, powerful dog - both physically and mentally.
