Meet Zuri: A Gentle Soul Looking for Her Safe Haven Zuri is trying so hard... she just needs someone to believe in her. After doing her job as a brave mama-giving birth to 8 puppies at Memphis Animal Services-it is finally Zuri's turn to be loved, protected, and cared for. Her past wasn't kind, and the world can still feel a little scary to her, but beneath her shy exterior lies a deeply gentle, sweet, and loving dog desperate for a second chance. We are urgently searching for a foster or forever home where Zuri can blossom. What Zuri Needs in Her Next Home Patience & Understanding: Loud noises like the wind or sudden movements can startle her. She needs a quiet home with a human who will let her go at her own pace. A Dog Sibling: We believe a home with another loving dog will help Zuri learn to be a dog and trust humans. A Safe Space: Zuri loves her crate and views it as her safe zone, quietly sleeping in her kennel at night right next to your bed. Notes From Her previous Foster: 'She loves finding sticks and playing chase with my dog... She's gentle and sweet, but has had an unfortunate past and sometimes has setbacks trusting humans.
