They have an estimated date of birth of early June 2026. Dragonfly is a harlequin. Shoofly is a Dutch. They are young enough for you to love on them and bond with them as they're growing up. They are sweet and trusting despite being dumped. They are available on a foster-to-adopt basis until old enough for spay surgery in December. They would return to the rescue for a day or two for transport to their spay appointment. After the spay, the adoption is finalized. They should be housed in an exercise pen at first and then a pen and/or free roam. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is always open and an exercise pen placed around it. (Nylon, pop-up playpens are not recommended as a rabbit will chew right through it!) Please be over 21 if inquiring about Dragonfly and Shoofly Rabbits are a 10+ year commitment. They can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. On adoption day, plan to spend approximately one hour at the rescue going over paperwork and general rabbit care information. PLEASE consult with the rescue before you purchase rabbit supplies so you can be directed to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials, especially if you've never had the pleasure of owning a rabbit! Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies!
