Meet Tazzy & Tootsie - a mother-daughter duo who will absolutely melt your heart. �%9D%A4��%8F Tootsie is a beautiful 2�%BD-year-old German Shepherd, and Tazzy is her adorable 5-month-old Shepherd/Lab mix daughter. These two have been through abandonment together, and somehow, instead of letting it harden them, it made their bond even stronger. They sleep curled up on each other. They eat together. They share toys. They can even eat from the same bowl with absolutely zero jealousy. Their relationship is one of those special bonds you have to see in person to understand. Sadly, Tazzy and Tootsie were dumped at the bottom of a mountain road in a small town with no shelter and only one animal control officer with a heart of gold looking out for them. After everything they have been through, they deserve to never wonder again if someone is coming back for them. And these girls have SO much love to give. They are both housebroken, extremely affectionate, playful, social, wonderful with kids, and happy to meet new people. They are true family dogs who want to be included in everything. Tootsie is the nurturing mama - gentle, sweet, and incredibly affectionate. She seems almost starved for love and will happily rest her head in your lap asking for more. She adores playing with her daughter and watching over her. Tazzy is the goofy baby of the family - fluffy, derpy, silly, playful, and guaranteed to make you laugh every single day. She follows her mom's lead and absolutely adores her. Because of their abandonment, they do have some separation anxiety and feel safest when they know their people are nearby. If no one is home, they should be safely inside the house or crated rather than left alone in a backyard. The wonderful thing about adopting these two together is that they already entertain, comfort, and love each other. They play together, nap together, and keep each other company, making them an incredibly special pair for a family looking for two dogs who already come with their very own best friend. We know asking someone to adopt two dogs is a bigger ask. But Tazzy and Tootsie aren't just two dogs. They're a family. And after being discarded together, our greatest hope is that the next place they land is the place they never have to leave.
