About Violet

Meet Violet ���� Violet is only 1�%BD years old, and what she wants more than anything is something every dog deserves: a person, a home, and the security of knowing she isn't going anywhere again. She's a beautiful Great Dane mix, possibly with some Catahoula in her, and she has all those lovable Dane qualities packed into a slightly smaller body. She gives the classic Dane lean, loves lazy stretches throughout the day, and will happily rest her head in your lap just to be close to you. Violet is an absolute social butterfly. She loves meeting new people, is wonderful with kids, and is dog-friendly with balanced, neutral, goofy dogs. We could easily picture her falling head over heels for a big, silly male Dane who could be her best friend and partner in crime. She is housebroken, has wonderful indoor manners, and is not destructive. She already knows sit, stay, paw, back, and 'go to your bed.' She's smart, affectionate, eager to be included, and still has that adorable toddler personality where she wants to know what everyone is doing at all times. Violet does have a prey drive, so she needs a home without cats or other small animals. Squirrels and lizards are definitely on her 'must investigate immediately' list. A securely fenced yard is also important. A 6-foot fence is appropriate with supervision, but Violet is not a dog who wants to be left alone outside all day. She wants to be inside with her family, where she belongs. And truly, that's all this sweet girl is asking for. She wants permanence. She wants someone who won't give up on her. She wants a couch to nap on, a lap to rest her giant little head in, someone to make her feel safe, and a family she can finally call her own. Her sweet, dainty personality will steal your heart, and her goofy little trot will make you smile every single day. Violet urgently needs a foster or forever home.
