Wanda needs a new home! We found her lost about a month ago with no microchip. She is about 1-2 years old, brown eyes, is in good health and weighs about 50 lbs. She is adorable, cuddly and playful, and loves being outside (especially in more ideal weather conditions). She is vaccinated and spayed. We live in an apartment and with no private outdoor area so Wanda can't run around (or be taken outside) on her own without being leashed. If our living situation was more suitable to take care of her, we would definitely keep her. She is shy with new dogs but is submissive, as well as submissive with new humans. Wanda loves to ride in the car and is well behaved indoors. She has a little separation anxiety when left home alone but is not destructive. Wanda does okay, but howls or barks intermittently when left alone for short periods of time [not continuously]. Wanda is still a bit nervous and wary but an extremely sweet girl. Since she is a rescue we don't know much about her past. She's easily startled but is curious about people and other dogs (in that order). In the month we've have had her, she's come out of her shell a lot, but still has room to grow. We would love to place this pretty girl in an adult home with someone that is around a lot [works at home, retired, etc.] that can take her out and spend time giving her love and some training. I am working with the help of Lake Tahoe Wolf Rescue, so if you are interested in Wanda, please email [email protected] or go to www.LakeTahoeWolfRescue.com to the page WANT TO ADOPT and just follow the directions. We would love to hear from you! Transportation help is available.
