About Arlo

Meet Arlo If you're looking for the perfect dog, one not in the puppy phase or the senior center, Arlo may just be the faithful companion you're looking for. He is exceptional. We rescued Arlo from a high-kill shelter. Older dogs don't tend to do well in those situations, but with us, Arlo has all the time he needs to find his perfect family. Arlo is an eight-year-old husky mix. He weighs just 41 lbs. with a gorgeous cream and brown colored coat and earnest eyes. Arlo has a heart of gold and is a gentle, calm, and easy-going guy. He is lower energy and just loves a nice stroll around the neighborhood, especially with his people. Arlo is affectionate, well-socialized and extremely gentle. He does great with everyone from adults to kids. He's fine with other dogs, but he doesn't like cats and will need to be in a cat free home. Arlo longs for a quiet home where he feels safe. He would love a soft pillow and gentle hands. Arlo will need a containment fenced yard. He was found wandering and we wouldn't want him to go through the uncertainty of that again. If looking for a perfect sized, easy-going, easy to live with dog, handsome Arlo is your guy. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if local. We may also ask for a facetime meeting or videos if out of state. Applicants must have an impeccable vet history and all pets in the home must be spayed/neutered (if not we'll need an explanation) and current on vaccines. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes.
